Why is Maven Master Class necessary?
Mavens are having extraordinary impact on a wide range of issues that contribute to more resilient communities. Maven Master Class is the next level learning experience designed to support the continued evolution of their work. The goal is to support social impact leaders in being more intentional about inspiring cultures in their ventures that allow them to be more agile, creative, and impactful. Our vision is greater freedom in philanthropy for mission-driven experimentation, more effective, confident, and resilient leadership, and a shift in orientation towards asset-building and solution setting. Moving beyond the communities we serve to learn and share with the best means we are able to accelerate our effectiveness by making the connections and accessing the resources that will amplify our social impact.
Who should participate in Maven Masterclass?
Maven Masterclass is designed for queer and trans social impact leaders of color and allies who have successfully completed the Maven Leadership Cohort in Orlando or Miami since its inception. Master Mavens are founders or principles of an existing venture or initiative that is beyond the ideation phase. These leaders have demonstrated an ability to successfully operate a project or organization and would now benefit from additional support and acquiring new skills and an expanded professional network.
What is the format?
Maven Masterclass pulls from the best of the collaborative nature of the cohort and adds the elements needed to level up. It is a four-month transformational learning experience that includes class-based training, immersive practical experiences, and field excursions. The program is open to six participants. Leading professionals will share best practices and assist in re-imagining strategies for building more resilient organizations. We will explore our five key focus areas in multiple contexts and across geography. Master Mavens will convene for four days each month (Thursday-Sunday).
